Savannah, GA – An owner of a long-haired domestic cat has named his feline companion “Pspspsps” and has noticed that it never beckons his call.
Chad Folsom, 52, is concerned that his cat has possibly contracted a feeling of apathy and won’t run to him when his name is called.
“I’ve been saying ‘pspspsps’ for a long time to random cats and it works, sometimes. But I figured, why not name my cat the same thing and hit two birds with one stone?”
Pspspsps was adopted by Chad at an animal rescue center 12 years ago. The beautiful white-haired feline was skittish when they first met, but it was love at first sight for Chad.
“He was the only one in the litter that was tucked in a corner,” Chad recalled. “His little bright blue eyes captured me and I thought to myself, ‘This is it, he’s the one’.”
The duo resides in a modest four-bedroom home which allows ample room for little Pspspsps to roam about. Each room is equipped with towering cat trees that connect and tunnel through the walls into a unified system.
Cat expert, Jackson Milkyway, believes the cat is in such bliss, that Pspspsps doesn’t care what you do, as long as you have a treat.
“This gorgeous cat is actually absolutely content with his environment. Mr. Folsom did an excellent job giving the care that Pspspsps needs,” he said. “However, Chad will have to accept that his feline companion won’t ever come to him on command.”
At publishing time, Chad is still wondering how his cat jumped up on Jackson’s lap when his cat’s name was mentioned.
