Man With 57 Cats Finds Out He Is Not the Biological Father

Daytona Beach, FL – A man recently had some DNA tests to see if he was the actual father of 57 cats.

David Lioni, 34, just discovered that he is not the father of the cats he has been taking care of in his stead. He has been raising different cats since 2013. They were the offspring of several generations of cats outside of his home, with varying colors and fur coat lengths.

“I could have sworn they were all from me. They kept coming for more and more food and are constantly whining. I have to clean up after them all the time because they leave toys all over the place, stuffed animals, and puke. Isn’t that what kids do? It’s so tiring,” he said

Doctor Felina Mendez, who oversaw the testing for David and his cats said that there was a 0% match. “What David is experiencing is what you call the classic case of ‘Crazy Cat Lady’” she said.

In March 2013, David found a cat laying about in his yard, which he assumed the mother abandoned it to his care. “I found little Tinkle over here, which I named him, and he was very welcoming to me when I approached him, so I took him in,” he added.

Over the course of 6 years, the number of cats in his care increased exponentially. “I saw other cats on my yard and I kept thinking they were abandoned by their mother too. So I started leaving food out for the poor babies. The next thing you know, more and more just keep coming out of nowhere!”

It is to be believed that David was undergoing the loss of his son, who was struck by a car, back in 2010. While it left an emotional shock, he tried effortlessly to cope with the distraught feelings.

“Ever since Tinkle appeared, he was just like my son, Cupcake. Looked just like him and even spoke like him. It was a gift from God.”

John Goodwin, Director of Operations for Control Animal Total Services, states that the population of stray cats has had a significant increase in the area. “It’s partly due to the uncontrolled environment that David presented.”

“I love my kids. I’ll do anything for them. I may not be their real father, but at least I can be one,” David added.

The number of cats increased to 127 by publishing time.11Shares
