Bradenton, FL. – A Florida teenager is outraged as he finds out that hunting isn’t like it is in video games.
James Pricket, 17, is an avid gamer who has been gaming most of his life. Ranging from first person shooters all the way to a button pressing simulator.
“I’ve always wanted to try my hand in hunting,” he says. “I’ve been practicing avidly with Venison’s Revenge and Deer Hunter 9000 that just came out the other week. I’d like to call myself a real country boy.”
Jame’s grandfather, Sebastian, says that he doesn’t understand why this generation is the way they are. “Damn kids these days can’t put down that damn controller and go out and enjoy nature. Nothing will ever come close to actually firing a rifle. Ah, the thrill of the hunt,” he said. “I’m glad my grandson finally wants to go hunting with me ever since my partner died from a black bear hunting accident.”
Sebastian also tried to ensure us that he absolutely positively did not throw his partner at the bear in order to get away.
The excited grandfather took Jame’s out in the woods behind the log cabin to spend time with his grandson and give him a taste of the outdoors. James was already prepared as he wore his daily camouflage attire worn for dates, work, and school.
It was to Jame’s surprise that he got more than he bargained for.
“My back was killing me. I was itchy all over and felt dirty. The absolute worst part is that I had to sit down somewhere for hours waiting for a deer to show. Know what sucked even more? I couldn’t put my earbuds on and listen to music because grandpa said ‘you want to be able to hear them before they hear you’.”
In the reports, Jame’s spotted a deer and failed to turn the safety off before lifting his rifle. As Jame’s turns it off, the deer hears it and begins to run away. Without hesitation and to avoid embarrassment, James fires off a shot which completely misses the target.
The gentlemen had to walk the 11 mile trek back as the entire gas tank leaked out of their duel passenger ATV.
“Yeah, this whole thing is so unrealistic. Like, it’s not even the same thing as the games,” he said. “Honestly, I rather the games than this crap. At least I can listen to music while shooting deer with a machine gun.”
